I pay a premium on my home phone bill each month for Qwest's No Solicitation service, which specifically instructs solicitors that I do not accept solicitations and that they are to hang up and remove me from their calling list. The automated telemarketers ignored this announcement.
I wasn't at home when the original calls from these telemarketers came, so the call forwarded to my cell phone. So I paid for them to spew their spiel on me.
Besides being a personal violation that cost me real money, what these automated telemarketers did was illegal.
When called to account, the automated telemarketers first attempted to bluff and claim that their calls were legal; then they turned to harassment, threats and intimidation. If they had apologized and paid the civil penalties they owe me for their illegal acts, they would not be be listed on this page.
